Christmas layouts

 Getting around to posting some older layouts I took photos of but never uploaded to the blog. 

I scrap separate albums for my kids so sometimes I have identical layouts and sometimes there's a variation depending on the photos I have.

 I used paper from a Recollections (Michaels) paper pad called Red and White. Love that pad, very pretty!

Christmas memories

Our colors were grey and purple. Daughter's and son's are done the same, with a couple different pics.

Christmas Eve - I thought this paper was really cute and perfect but a full page design is hard to work with!

Daughter's Christmas pages:

Son's Christmas pages. His first page had to be single and I chose to make the 2 that would be facing as separate but coordinating pages.

Again, daughter's pages ended up not facing so had to split hers as single pages so I gave them each a title.

The last few layouts!

Today I'm putting the polyurethane on the table. It takes 3 - 4 hours between coats. So here's the last few layouts I uploaded. I don't know what the deal was with all the bath pics. They were taken about a week apart!

I had to hand cut the shadow around the wreath because I cut the wreath at 5 1/2" and even though I had the real dial size off, they didn't have the image adjusted to allow for shadowing when you use the highest size setting. The photo corner I used a cuttlebug folder on.


Remember mulberry paper? I used it behind the pictures here. I used pearl ex on the photo turns I inked in white.


I outlined the title with a yellow glaze sakura pen (which appeared darker on the cardstock I used). I used embossing powder on the chipboard flourish.

I forgot to mention yesterday, I've only taken pics of about half the layouts I got done. I'm not one of those scrappers people ooh and ahh over. So without further ado, here's something for you to look at. LOL This is my favorite layout of all the ones I did. It actually came out well! (tree from Heritage cartridge) With these pictures, I knew what paper would work. It looks so much like the shirt she's wearing - except the shirt has flowers, not butterflies. I'm happy to say my living room looks MUCH better than this now! Anyway, I LOVE the Sakura glaze pens. I stamped the title but the black ink really wasn't heavy enough against the patterned paper so I went over it with my black glaze pen. Then I decided to add a touch of shimmer to it by outlining the letters again with a blue 'stardust' pen (also sakura). Thanks for looking!

It's a record!

I actually did 25 layouts in less than 2 weeks! I'm pretty sure I've never done it in even a month! I'll post a few at a time so I'll actually have something to put on my blog for a few days. LOL I find sketches to help a lot. I have quite a few of my own, plus Becky Fleck and Becky Higgins. This one I used fabric paint on the holly berries: This one I used a few punch-out embellishments on (the border strips and the little box). Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
