Some Pinterest inspired cards

Some older cards I made with ideas I found on Pinterest. I like to try and copy cards I like using things I have. It's a fun challenge! My cards will the ones first pictured followed by the inspiration card.

It's been quite some time since I made this so it's hard to remember but I think I had made my own stencil for the waves.

I did end up buying the raindrop stamp but at the time I didn't have it.

This one I had the same die. I don't recall if it's the reason I bought it. LOL

Winnie-the-Pooh letterpress cards

I used the Artist Loft watercolor paper from Michaels with Betterpress plates. The cheap watercolor paper isn't great for doing actual watercolors but makes pretty decent letterpress paper.

Ink blended cards

I got the ideas/inspiration from Pinterest. The inspiration for the first card is below but I don't have any for the other 2 cards.

Sunflowers - thinking of you

This is a card I made for someone a couple years ago. It ended up arriving too late. :(  The sunflowers are symbolic of her childhood where she grew up.

I used some diecut washi from Pinkfresh. Inside I mixed them in with some pop up flowers I made from a tutorial on Pinterest.

Valentine's (or thinking of you)

Made these for Valentine's day. (again, didn't get the cards out this year)  Could be used for other occasions, too.  I used some stationery, hence the lines, and the large hearts are woven Danish hearts stuff with just a tiny bit of fluff.

Stretch your supplies

When is a bird feeder, not a bird feeder?  I soon as I saw this die ideas popped into my head!

I used parts from the Lawn Fawn build-a-bird feeder to create these cards.

Boba tea! For the cup rim, I used my trimmer to cut a thin strip of cardstock and ran it through my paper crimper then flattened it out. The straw is just a strip of patterned paper.

An Easter bonnet! (or a sun hat)

A lantern! For the bottom of the lantern, I trimmed down each side of the base of the bird feeder and shorted the bottom. I used the layered top piece and trimmed the top off at the detail line.

And UFOs!! I used the top layer both right side up and upside down! Add some glittery enamel dots. The second UFO had a 'glass' top cut with a small oval die out of vellum. I used the bird legs to make my little alien with a couple tiny googly eyes.

You rock

Fun pun for a cute little stamp! Penny Black Mimi stamps are adorable and I have a fun little collection of them.

Breast cancer support card

Made this for someone who was going through treatment for breast cancer. I used a metallic blue paper and the butterflies' wings pop up.

Here's another card I made some time ago but didn't get around to uploading. I got the tutorial on how to make the pop up flowers on Pinterest.

Just keep swimming...

I saw this porthole idea (probably on pinterest). I used a couple of circle dies to make them.

Cute Easter cards and mushrooms

Lawn Fawn stamps. I color with pencils and then blend with an alcohol marker in a matching color or lighter or just blender.

This card was made with embossing folders.

This cute card was also made with embossing folders (mushroom house seen and background grass/flowers). I stamped the bee, snail, and gnome and fussy-cut then mounted on pop dots.

Graduation and birthday cards

It's been awhile since I made these cards but if I remember correctly they were based off a sketch in a challenge. The patterned background for the graduation card was created with a stamp and embossed. I hand cut the tassel and used gold number stickers for the grad year.

Have a bee-utiful day...

I made these cards from a pack of DIY wedding invitations I picked up on clearance some time ago.

The side where the embossed honeycomb is has a couple of holes punched for tying ribbon and rather than trim it off, I used some scraps of the yellow paper saved from a previous card project. I fussy cut the little bee from one of my stamps and the 'bee-utiful' is from a diecut that I trimmed and cut a second 'e' from.

Southwest style cards

I made these for a challenge and was inspired by the colors of the southwest and a silver and turquoise bracelet I have. On the bottom card, the starburst die reminded me very much of the bracelet.

More all-occasion cards

These can be turned from just thinking of you cards into birthday and other occasions by the sentiment that used inside.
