Soaking up the fun

Here's one I made awhile ago. A simple, fun pool page. I chose the blue patterned to paper because it reminded me of pool liners that sometimes have a pattern.

Simple, clean beach layouts

 Getting back into sharing my creations on my blog. I've been doing a lot of Instagram sharing but it's hard to look back at your old stuff since tags are for everyone, not to search your own images.

Here's a couple layouts I did of an anniversary on the coast. I used parts of a paper pad I got at Michaels from craft smart called Coastal Cove. I absolutely love that pad!

Not the best pics even touched up but here they are. I'm using a free program call Fotor to resize and adjust but I don't know if it's me/the camera, the program, or both.

I am loving using my inspiration jar! I've been using different techniques and tools and I think it's made a difference in my scrapping even though I'm still a pretty simple scrapper. paper tearing, weaving, chalking stitching, sanding, 2 patterned paper (the pattern on the yellow is subtle) The next two I didn't use the jar for, I was just trying to get some layouts done for a contest. But I did inking, stamping, and used a diecut. Also stickers, stitching, and paint.

Prince Edward Island

Here's a layout I just completed for a challenge (we had to use at least 5 products from different manufacturers). It took me about 3 days, mostly figuring out what I was going to do with the pics. I originally tried to get them on one page but I didn't want the page so full so ended up splitting into 2. I've got the lines penciled in on both sides for journaling, which I use the Martha Stewart scoring board to do. That's the part I like least (journaling) - it doesn't just flow out of me. I was able to cut the PEI logo and flag using Make-the-Cut software. I love my cricut and cartridges but I love MTC for the other things I can't do.

A visit from Flat Stanley

I hosted a Flat Stanley for a 2nd grader in Texas. We took him around sightseeing and took pictures of him where we went. Then I compiled a scrapbook of Flat Stanley's trip with us. I used a 3 ring binder since I didn't have an 8 1/2 x 11 postbound album. At least Stanley can be kept in the binder's inside pocket. Someone else probably could've whipped it out in a day but it took me several. Also did research for many of the pages, so I've learned a lot. LOL Not sure whether or not I should've put so much work into this for a second grader (I can only hope he treasures it LOL) but I couldn't NOT do it with my best effort. LOL I'm bummed I didn't have even more to share. A few weeks or so just isn't enough time. Click images to view larger.
