Christmas cards 2025

More cards from last Christmas. I often make 2 at a time as I don't enjoy making a bunch of all one design.

The deer cards (which I didn't get a sentiment on the front until later) were sent to people who had had a recent loss of a spouse. I think they said something like wintertime wishes and warm winter wishes.

Shine Bright Christmas cards

2025 Christmas cards.  I used craft foam for 'bright' on the first card and iridescent paper for 'shine' on the second.

Christmas cards 2025

A couple of the designs I made. Both were inspired by cards I saw online.

Lantern Christmas Card

From a cut file I made myself. Inspired by the lantern dies and cards I saw from Pinkfresh Studio and Divinity Designs.

Shaker card

I made this card awhile back for a personal challenge I had with a friend. Her challenge was to make a shaker card. I used plastic leftover from packaging (or maybe it was the backing included with a rubber cling stamp) and tiny punched shapes for the shaker confetti. I do need to re-glue the frame as the tape I used is not holding well to the craft foam that's used underneath to create the walls of the shaker.

Merry reindeer & pretty poinsettias

Some past Christmas cards I'm still uploading to the blog. I used a shimmer spray on the background.

Gold embossing powder was used on these.

Peace dove

I made this Christmas card for someone who's family has been going through some very difficult times fighting a horrible disease and a recent loss. I wanted to let her know I was thinking of them and recognize what they're going through during a difficult time of year.

Lamp post glowing in the snow card

This card is based on a painting I saw online. It looks so peaceful and serene.

Vintage candy cane card

This card was inspired by an image of a vintage Christmas card. It's a 'counterfeit' version. Of course the original is prettier. I think it might have helped if the branch dies were fuller looking. I was going to try it with stamps for the branches but I had more difficulty figuring that out with a branch that went in one direction and trying to reverse it and still having it look right. So in the end I went with dies.

Candle in a Jar

This card was inspired by a photo I saw on Pinterest of a painted ornament design. The jar die I have wasn't big enough for me to do the greenery on the inside with the candle so I put it on the outside. I also used vellum to make it look like the candle was inside the jar so I think it worked out better because vellum mutes the colors.

copycat Christmas card

Sometimes I like to see how I can 'copycat' a card using what I have so I thought I'd have a go at a card from Sunny Studio Stamps that was shared online by a friend who saw the card and loved it. I actually did have one of the stamp sets the designer used but decided to just try it using dies. Here's my version and the original. It probably would have been a little better if I had also stamped/embossed some branches in the background.

Gift card holders

Here's the instructions to the pop-up gift card holder. http://kaleidoscopecreations.blogspot.com/2017/08/make-pop-up-gift-card-holderou.html

I made for my daughter who needed a few. The inside matches the outside but I only took a photo of one to show.

Christmas gifts card

A simple but festive card.

Winter wishes card

I thought the snowshoes paired well with the forest critters background paper since both have to do with the outdoors.

Let it snow

Winter/Christmas cards are fun to do.  Just now I got an idea that this simple snowman die would also work great for a window scene.

Glittery Christmas tree

I used my Ranger sticky embossing powder for the first time. Not bad.
