decoupage candle holder

I thought vellum would give it a pretty frosted look, and it does, but beware. Vellum does not absorb liquid like regular paper and tissue. So it bubbled a bit. But overnight as it dried more underneath it seemed to help the bubbling go down. It's still not perfectly smooth but better than it was before. I was making this to submit to the fair and I was almost going to decide against it but since it looks better today maybe I'll put it in after all.
The nice thing about our fair is it's not a competitive first, second, third place. Each item is judged on its own merit (the Danish system) and so everyone has a chance to win a blue ribbon.
