My intention was actually to make this and give it to my daughter the day before she started high school. I had only though of it two weeks before and I'm not one of those people who can whip stuff out. It also took a lot of thought. So I gave it to her for her 15th birthday instead. Which actually might've been better timing.
I don't get the best pics, but if you click on them you can see them larger. I worked on giving the pages some texture and/or dimension - kind of hard to see what's been pop-dotted. It's 3 inches thick at the spine. I allowed 1/4" space for the dimensional stuff on the pages.
I tried to channel some inspiration from Lori at SaintsRule! and one page is definitely a scraplift!

Ooh, nice!
Very pretty! She is sure to treasure this!
A beautiful album Tam. I love how you've arranged the gorgeous papers and the "words to live by".
I'm making a journal of recycled materials for my granddaughter and some of those words would be perfect. I'd love to steal the whole album but pinching the words would be a good start, hope you don't mind, chris
Hop over to my blog! I have an award for you! :-)
What a beautiful gift to give her.
I love everything about it! Great job.
